Winter wonderland

The National Park is one place that is worth braving the cold to see in winter. Blanketed with snow, the park is a completely different world. Trekking up the mountains is a great way to keep warm. We did it in record time- 3780 steps in 1.5 hours- probably helped by the fact that there was nowhere to sit down and rest along the way.

Coming down is best described as an adventure! We wore the grass snow shoes that the locals promised would stop us from slipping and sliding, but still ended up on our backsides more than once. A sled definitely would have come in handy!
