National Day Join-in tours 2009

This National Day, we're running three trips, one in Northern Guangxi, an area famous for its karst peak scenery, rice terraces and minority people and two in Yunnan Province, famous for its ancient towns, rich minority cultures and spectacular mountain scenery.

Our hiking enthusiastics should check out our 5 day Tibetan village trek (October 2nd-6th) taking you through yak pastures, across mountain passes and past spectacular waterfalls whilst enjoying the hospitality of local Tibetans in homestay accommodation each night. For those who enjoy hiking but don't quite have the energy to hike all day at high altitude, our 7 day Beyond the Backroads hike in Northern Guangxi (October 1st-7th) could be for you. This tour has hiking times of 1-5 hours per day in hilly terrain, taking you through picturesque minority villages and spectacular rice terraces, then finishing up with a half day's relaxation at the Longsheng Hot Springs. The third trip on offer is designed for those who want to "see it all". Travelling from Dali up to the far northwest of Yunnan and back to Lijiang (October 1st-7th) you will see spectacular snow mountain scenery, river gorges, historical towns and an ice glacier! It will give you a taste of the beauty and diversity of Yunnan province without you needing to exert too much energy in the process!
